Risk profile

Danger hits Considerable in your elevation band. What's your default?

Stay inbounds Not for me. I'll ride the resort instead. Most cautious. Committing terrain scores lower, and anything the heatmap marks extra caution is treated as not recommended.

Dial it back Simple or challenging terrain I already know well. Complex terrain stops earning a bonus, so mellower zones rank ahead of it.

Manage around it Strong route finding and testing. I'll pick my way. Complex and challenging terrain keep their bonus. This is the default if you skipped the question.

Terrain preference

Your ideal day out there.

High alpine Open bowls and steeps above treeline. Alpine zones get the biggest head start, treeline a smaller one.

Tree skier I typically ride glades and sheltered treeline. Treeline leads, and below treeline stops being a write-off.

Wherever it's best I'll go wherever the snow is, provided it's safe. No band gets a head start. The snow and weather decide on their own.
